National Iguana Awareness Day: NIAD
Your starting point to great iguana care information

Life with Q Today (currently 13 and counting)

Ahhhh this is the life — If you found this page CONGRATULATIONS! You can only get to this secret page on the "Life with Q as an Adult" page. Click HERE to see the full picture of Q lounging on his $500 chair. My parents bought this chair for me in college (which I lived in) and Q decided he liked it. So now it is in my bedroom next to my bed and after a long bath (to make sure he is clean) I let him sleep on the chair. If you look closely you can see his mouth open a little - like he is saying Ahhhh this is the life.

Q VISITS HIS FRIENDS —Q is now somewhere in the 13 year range (this picture was taken on 7/24/06 early in the morning when he was 12) and still very healthy. Maybe he will live over 20 years! But he has his own room, he is the first thing everyone sees when they come to my front door (imagine that shock), and he gets his own chair. I mean what more could an iguana want. He is still very territorial though but I work around it.

I WANT TO DRINK YOUR BLOOD — Q's days as my pet are unfortunately now numbered. Until now he had never sent me to the ER but he did just so on 8/11/07. I have decided I don't want the next time to be my face and I have spent less and less time with him as the years go on. My hope is to find him a home where he can continue to live out his life ... but I may have to have him euthanized. Since he is part of my family that is my last option. See the 08/11/07 bite page here.
