An iguana does not sneeze in the way you and I do. An iguana "sneeze" has an important function. A gland in the iguana's nose pulls excess salts out of the iguana's food and that excess salt is stored in their nasal chamber. When the chamber fills the iguana snorts and the liquid is expelled. Iguana owners like to use the non-technical term "snalt" when referring to this liquid. An iguana is also great at waiting until you come near them ... then they "snalt" all over you :)
